Panagia peninsula (Virgin Mary in English) is the place where the old town lies in the city of Kavala. Kavala is a major city in northern Greece.
The old town is the first inhabited area of my city, dating back to the 7th century BC. It is adorned with the remains of the medieval wall fortifications all around it and the castle at the top.
