October 30th of 2017 one of the most wonderful adventures of my life began. The travel to the Dolomite area of the Italian Alps with my three other fellow photographers, Labros Karanasios, Ilias Nikoloulis, and Konstantinos Kousis, has been so far the capping stone of my landscape photography. We encountered beautiful places and scenic views. The hospitality of the people, the amazing autumn colors, the changing alpine weather, the light, the granite masses with their lines and shapes, the sharp peaks, the lakes with their crystal waters and turquoise colors. It felt like the Dolomites were the Heaven on Earth for artists, hikers, and photographers like us.
This gallery presents photos from the lakes Misurina, Dobbiaco, Antorno, and Braies. Tre Cime Di Lavaredo mountain and Alpe Di Siusi, which is the largest high-altitude alpine meadow in Europe. The picturesque village of Santa Maddalena, with San Giovanni’s church prominently positioned in the center of a yellow field. I can say that the two images of San Giovanni that I created are my favorites. Especially the one with the sun rays passing through the bell tower of the church. Next time I hope I will be visiting the Dolomites in Spring. They say that Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm in German) is very beautiful with flowers popping all around.
You can buy prints from my Dolomites’ wall art collection, like photo prints, framed prints, metal prints, and canvas prints. And also home decoration items such as pillows, blankets, or even notebooks, greeting cards, puzzles, etc.
