Personally, I would call the Tzoumerka mounts the Dolomites of Greece. There is so much beauty in those mountains that is a pity that this area has not been developed to such a degree to host the number of activities or attract the number of tourists both Greeks and from other countries that would enable local people to stay in their villages, prosper and not head to big cities like Ioannina, Arta, Athens, etc. I should say though that we could take an example from the Dolomites and develop the area without being overly intrusive to the natural environment as is the case in other areas of Greece.
The travel to the Tzoumerka mounts that lasted for 4 days, between the 25th and the 28th of August 2021, was the first in almost 3 years. Due to the pandemic of Sars-Cov2 and for other reasons as well, I had been unable to make a photo trip for a long time. I want to thank my friend Ilias Nikoloulis Photography who was my best companion on this trip.
